The VEGA project (acronym for VEnice GAteway for Science and Technology) represents a business district that is spread over 80,000 square meters of buildings: a “physical and networked” place of innovation for the entire metropolitan area equipped with broadband at 300 MB / second, with over 200 established companies and 2000 employees who frequent it daily, a certified incubator that currently hosts 24 innovative start-ups: a virtuous example of the industrial reconversion process of Porto Marghera. VEGA represents a significant district also from the point of view of the economic repercussions and of the research and development activities generated: the aggregate turnover of the established companies exceeds 200 million euros, 38 are the patents registered by the companies, while to 18% the average expenditure of investments in research on the global turnover (well above the regional average which stands at 1% of GDP). Our curtain walls and our windows and doors are present in this structure which for the past decade has been making us grow globally with innovative ideas based on continuous research.
